Painting!

It's been a while hasn't it... :). Thankfully this huge project at school is now officially over as of last night. Yay! And while I was on a bit of a blogging break, I painted a canvas that I had. But before that I played around a bit with our paint bottles. ;)

Pyramid!
From the top down...
and from the bottom up!

What I actually made on Sunday...
A cherry blossom tree/branch using a pop bottle!
I saw the idea on...Pinterest?
And then looked it up and found the sight below:

http://alphamom.com/family-fun/holidays/cherry-blossom-art-from-a-recycled-soda-bottle/

The woman who did it on that website used a 2 liter pop bottle, I had a smaller canvas, so I used a....20 oz. bottle, or something like that. :)

Have a great day!

Some really good books...

If you are looking for a good read (like I always am :)), and have a lot of time on your hands, you are looking at a post just for you!
So, a while back in Sunday school, like fifth grade, I watched the Left Behind movies. Just in October though, did I pick up the first book. I was drawn in and read and read and read. And I truly mean read and read and read, the books are all almost 400 pages long, if not longer. But don't get me wrong, that's a good thing, big books are good things.

So now that you've read my ramblings, would you like to know what they're about??
Yes? Okay, the books are based on the book of Revelation (the last book in the New Testament) and the prophecies of the end times, though in a 21st century mood, they were written in the late 90's and into early 2000.

Sorry, I am boring you, but let me finish up my thoughts.

The main books are mainly for adults, and for ages about 14 (my birthday's coming up...) and up, but don't worry, if you're younger, there is a kids series, and those books are from teenagers perspectives.

Anyway, all in all  it's a great series that keeps you wanting more, if you would like to know more, below is the website address. And don't worry, most libraries have these books, the one I go to has multiple copies.

Has anyone else read these books, seen the movies, or heard of them?

Your love...

Your love never fails, never gives up
Never runs out on me

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing remains
On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never, ever, have to be afraid
One thing remains
Your love never fails, never gives up
Never runs out on me

In death, in life
I'm confident and covered by the power of Your great love
My debt is paid
There's nothing that can separate my heart from Your great love

One year ago???

This time last year, I made this blog! So therefore, I guess it would be my blogoversary! As I looked back at some of my first posts, I realize how, um, interesting they were.... ;) You can check them out by scrolling down on the right side to where it starts saying all the months, and click on January.
And some stats that I have found...
there have been 222 posts in the past year,

3 different blog designs,

and approximately 5,800 page views!

Wow that's a lot of numbers!!

If you read the end of my last post, I said there would be changes, now don't freak out, they're not that drastic, here they are:

  1. This blog will not have American Girl stuff on it anymore, but yes, still the seasonal photo shoots, which Hannah and I are working on.
The reason why: There are so many other blogs out there about American Girl, and I don't really follow American Girl that much anymore. (But, yes, I did check out Saige, whom I love! :D )

     2. This blog will be about my thoughts and photography

The reason why: It is what comes easily to me to post about, it's not more or less a chore that way. :)

     3. Posting will be sporadic, not a lot.

The reason why: Sometimes I just don't feel like posting, shocking right? And I don't want to focus a lot my time on this blog.

So, those will be the changes. And if you have ever wondered why Hannah is considered an author, yet not posting, it's because she helps me a lot with the photo shoots, so therefore, I gotta give here some credit. :)

SO SORRY FOR MAKING YOU READ THIS BORING POST WITHOUT ANY PICTURES!!
They will be back in the next post! :D
