1.2.14

And it's 2014...

A year has passed, a new one has come! It's also this blogs 2nd blogoversary! Yay! Now let's recall all of the stats...

283 posts,

And about 10,530 pageviews!

Thank you to all of the people out there that come by every once in a while and check out this blog!

On to other things.. it keeps snowing!!!
 I'm pretty happy about snow..
except for the fact that I should be running to prepare for track which starts in a month!
These pictures don't show all the snow that came down all day yesterday, but believe me, running outside when it's 10 degrees or less, with snow on the ground, and maybe some ice, yeah, I don't think I'll be running for a while!

Another thing, it's already January and I still have a lot of Christmas pictures to post!! Noo!! And only three more days of break :'(

And lastly...I watched Catching Fire the other day (I hadn't read any of the books or seen the movies before this) and let's just say the three books are on hold at the library right now! :P

More posts coming soon!

Christmas Baking: Puppy Chow!

Hey! I thought you guys might enjoy going through the cooking process that I did to make puppy chow this year! If you want to make some here's the recipe:
1 Box of Rice Chex
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
And as much powdered sugar needed! ;)
This is basically the Chex Muddy Buddies recipe with a few tweaks for greater satisfaction! :)

First I put the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and margarine in a big bowl
Microwaved it for thirty seconds
 Stir!
 Add vanilla
 Stir some more..
 Add in the Chex
Gradually...
Put 'em in a bag
Add lot's of powdered sugar and shake until spread evenly
 Spread out to dry..
Sprinkle on some more powdered sugar and whala! Puppy Chow!

Seriously though, puppy chow is one of the best foods on this planet! Anybody agree?

Keep on enjoying your break!

Merry (late) Christmas!

I hope that all of you had a great Christmas! I did!
My family and I woke up early yesterday and we traveled across the state to spend time with my extended family over lunch and got back earlier today. It was great to see everybody, since that only happens about once a year now. :(
It seemed this year Christmas came and went in a snap! Apparently growing older each year does make time go by faster!
(Do you see this!?! I finally figured out how to make the lights blur!
Let's just say Pinterest helped me a lot!)
I hope that you enjoyed time with family
I hope that you liked presents that you may have received
I hope that you liked the food that you ate
But most importantly, I hope you remembered the real reason that Christmas is celebrated, which is because of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

PS. I'll probably post all the Christmas baking pictures I took soon!

The Annual Gingerbread House!

Recently, it has become tradition that my sister and I make a gingerbread house around this time and then display it throughout the rest of the Christmas season. And today was the day that we made it this year!

This years gingerbread house                    and                last years gingerbread house!

Does anybody else make gingerbread houses?
