2012!

It's New Years Eve.

Do you know what that means?

It means this year will be over in less than 24 hours.

I don't really get what the big deal is besides to keep track of time, I mean we don't celebrate the end and beginning of each month, right?

But, it still is fun anyway!

What New Years Eve means to some people (like me):

Staying up late, well for me...it's probably some other peoples bed times.. :P

Eating finger food, like pigs in a blanket. Yum!

Getting really tired, but forcing yourself to stay up long enough to see the ball drop, marking the new year.

Playing games with family

Remembering your first paying babysitting experience three years ago... but I guess that just applies me :)

Being able to say that we survived 2012 and that only God knows when the world will really end.

Have a great time exploring the first of 2013, but don't forget what's happened in 2012. :)

PS. Changes coming in 2013... not lots, but still changes. :)

Yet again, more Christmas Pictures!

Yep, there's more, this time including snow!
Looking out upon the yard from the deck
Some pine needles
Snow covered
What doesn't look like a step...
is a step!
A big drift
Icicle! I don't know what the white thing is though...
More icicles, that were sadly knocked down after I took the picture. :P
Poor tree...
A blanket of snow
A view from the fire pit

Well, I finally uploaded all the pictures for this post! That only took 30 minutes! :)
How many more days of break do you have? I have four... :(

Christmas Has Come!

Christmas has come!
So here is my Christmas post. And there are pictures, and there's a lot of the them, so there will be more sporadic posts of pictures in the coming days! :)

A Christmas Village
 Christmas tree
Gingerbread house

As we open presents and spend time with family, we cannot forget the true meaning of Christmas:
 Luke 2: 6-14
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

PS. I had planned for more pictures, but the computer is slow, I hope to post on Thursday

Gingerbread House!

My mom last year went to the store when all the Christmas items went on clearance and bought a gingerbread house. So, then around the beginning of December my sister and I made it, and here are some pictures of how it turned out!

My Heart Goes Out...

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims of today's shooting.

Let the Lord be with them and comfort them, fill the loss in their heart.

Let them know that He lives and loves them.

Festival!

Recently I went to a festival where there was: performances, art, trees, food, gingerbread house, and much, much more! I took some pictures of things that popped out at me. Some relating with Christmas, some not. They're sort of random. Enjoy!

It helps to click on the pictures to make them bigger and see the details!

A LEGO Christmas scene, sorry bad quality.
Of course, I had to put this on here, a doll house, the front was very detailed and Christmasy also!
Love this! It was thread wrapped around nails in a certain pattern!
A bald eagle made out of wires I think
Simple but so true at that moment :)

Onto the Gingerbread houses!!!
Santa decided to stop here...and fell off the roof...
A church, with such detailed frosting!
A regular gingerbread house, with lots of candy!!
 A Christmas castle!
Loved this one's rainbow!

So those are the pictures.

Sorry for the design, it's a work in progress. I hope to get some snow pictures soon!!!

Bye!

Oh! And happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it. And those who don't. :)

Looking for Something to do this Christmas?

If you're bored and want to be festive, but don't know how this Christmas, I hope this post will help! :D

Last year, my sister and I each hosted a Christmas Cookie Exchange. It was two parties, with 5 friends each, where we hung out, took pictures, exchanged cookies, and, of course, ate cookies!

It was really fun, so we will be doing it again soon! Here is how we did it:

  1. Make invitations, for example:
     2. Choose friends to invite and give them the invitations
     3. Think of some ideas of what to do (ex. gingerbread making contest- get in two groups and whoever makes the best looking gingerbread house gets some prize, make cookies- you could make more cookies, maybe decorate gingerbread men, talk, etc.)
     4. Wait for the party!

If you do throw a party, I would love to hear all about it!

So, if you were looking for something to do...there you go.

Survey!

Okay, first off this is not a survey for this blog, but for my science project, and I would really appreciate if you took the time to take it!
Our product is hair spray and it's name is "Sticky Hair" but that just means you hair will "stick" in place. It's not actually sticky. Yes, my groups survey has some errors in it's wording, sorry! Here is the link:

Thank you for you time that you took to take this survey!

PS. This is not my picture, if you click on it, it will lead you back to where I found it!

Surprise Photoshoot!

While at my grandparents house this past weekend, Hannah and I went out to take some pictures.

And the results were....
This bench has probably been where it's at for quite some time. :)
