Happy Leap Day!

Hey guys! I hope you're enjoying this extra day of the year! Here's a fun picture I found on the internet:
This came from a website that you can see Here. Hey, and I was just wondering, is there anything that you want to see more of on this blog? Or a new activity? I'm open to all ideas and I really try to base the things I do on this blog off of what those looking at it would want to see. Is anyone looking forward to spring? I know I am! And for those of you who tried out Be Funky, did you like it? Thanks!

Be Funky!

For those of you who use Picnik for your pictures, there is another website out there that will do practically the same thing and it is FREE, just like Picnik. It is called Be Funky and it's an awesome site to edit pictures. Click Here to see the site. Here is a sample of a Doll Guess of Nicki in her Gala outfit:
I didn't do much because I just put it together in a couple of minutes, but you can see how it is a lot like Picnik. Also, Rose, here is your button for winning The Doll Guess:
Oops, I just realized that says I won in The Doll Guess, it sort of make sense, but not really! And by the way, I know some people have just recently voted, but before the contest was closed, why, on the poll, did some people say they liked The Doll Guess, but they didn't guess? I'm just confused and wanting to know. Thanks!
-Emma :)
PS. If you like doll guesses, AG Fun is having a Guess that Outfit!

Congratulations Rose!

Well there was only two guesses, both Rose, and she won The Doll Guess! The answer was Molly's Polka-Dot Outfit. I will post later today about more things! Thanks!
-Emma :)
PS. Rose, you'll get your button in the later post today.

O.K., only Rose has guessed so far, so I hope more will guess now that there's a hint. Here it is:
HINT: The doll is wearing a dress
Thanks! I have to go to school now, bye!
-Emma :)
PS. Rose you can guess again now!

No Guesses Yet!

As you can see in the title, nobody has guessed yet for The Doll Guess! But people have voted on the poll. I'm confused! Please vote, and the first hint will be given tomorrow. Thanks!
-Emma :)
PS. Does anyone know how to change the time? Because this is two hours off and it messes me up sometimes.

The Doll Guess

 Closed!

We're so excited to announce, that thanks to the inspiration of many other blogs, we have started The Doll Guess! This is our first one and here are the rules: (Ugh, I know)
1. You must correctly guess the doll and outfit
2. Only one guess (Unless their is a hint)
3. The person who correctly guesses first will win
We will give hints every other day until someone guesses correctly, we will try to publish comments as soon as we can after you post a comment, and we will try to do The Doll Guess every week, here is the first one:

Please tell us in the comments how hard or easy you think guessing the picture is so we can adjust and make the next picture easier or harder. Thanks, guess away!

Snow Overnight!

Today, I woke up to 3 1/2 inches of snow! It was sooo pretty so I took some pictures, which can't even compare to the snows beauty. And like all of you who voted on the poll, (thanks!) I like to look at snow, but then I'm over winter. So far no one has voted for their favorite season as winter. Anyway, here are the pictures:
Two different trees with snow covering their branches
 Our fence
 Another tree
A bush, which was pulled down by the weight of the snow
Ground level view of the snow on our deck

Have you gotten snow recently? If so, how much? I was also looking through the pictures on my camera and came across the time my friend and I made some cookies:
The cookies in the oven, and the reflection of my camera
Counter level view of the cookies, on the cooling racks
 More cookies!
 And even more!
(Just kidding, these pictures were of the same cookies)
All the cookies!
And yes, one is deformed, because we smashed the chocolate kiss. :)

So that is a bit of stuff that has been going on. Do you like baking or cooking? Thanks!
-Emma :)

PS. Would you like to hear from Julia, Jellyon, and Coconut to learn more about them?

Last but not least....

Kanani Akina! May I remind you I will not be doing McKenna, because I did a post on her before in early January. (You can go to the side bar to see it) So, here is her whole collection. (Yes, I am so excited there's a picture of her WHOLE collection!)
Kanani's collection includes: (I know this part is different, I'm trying something new.)
The thing I really like about Kanani, is her hair and her color scheme. Her hair would probably be a mess to brush if it got tangled, but looking at it, it's so pretty! Then I love the colors purple, turquoise, and pink together! I also think it's cool how she has a chair and lately, it seems like more dolls have pets or animals that you can buy with them. Don't you think? Also, Kanani's story is raising awareness with endangered species, I have not read her books so I can't tell you much of what they're about but I do know that her cousin, Rachel, comes to spend some time with Kanani's family and, sometime during the book, they help rescue an endangered baby monk seal. I give all the credit for the pictures and facts to the following two websites: click Here and Here. By the way, comment either on Guest Book or in the comments on anything you would like me to post about in the next couple of days. Thanks!
-Emma
PS. Thanks for voting on the poll! I didn't know that out of at 14 people nobody liked winter as their favorite season!

Lanie Holland!

Hey! Today is all about Lanie Holland, and yet again I could not find one whole picture of all her stuff, so here's a few pictures.
 Lanie's Starter Collection
 Lanie's Nightgown and Orangutan
 Lanie's Nature Outfit
Lanie's red, white, blue, and green tees
(Shown with girl tees also)
 Lanie's Nature Accessories
 Lanie's Raccoon and Can Set
 Lanie's Wildlife Set
 Lanie's Hammock Set
Lanie's Camper and Gear
As you can see, Lanie is all about nature, and it shows even more in her books. Lanie dreams of becoming a scientist, who studies nature. Lanie is also truly inspired by her Aunt Hannah. I really like Lanie's clothes and camper. My favorite outfit would have to be her gardening outfit, but I love her meet shoes! For a beautiful picture of them, go to myamericangirl.blogspot. That's all I have for today, tomorrow we will end the Girl of the Years with Kanani. Thanks to American Girl Wiki for all the information and pictures!

Chrissa!

Thank you so much for voting on the poll, even though it's a simple poll, we really love hearing from you guys! Now moving on to today's topic, Chrissa Maxwell (and Sonali Matthews and Gwen Thompson), who were introduced on January 1, 2009.

Sorry, I couldn't find her whole collection all at once, and these pictures are still missing some minor items like, Chrissa's IM-Me kit and some accessories. I'm not going to list all Chrissa's items because you can see all the items pretty clearly above.
Chrissa was a doll that had a lot of firsts, including a movie, companion dolls, and a theme promoting standing up for yourself. In Chrissa's books, she moves to a new town, is bullied by the "Queen Bees", makes two new close friends (Sonali and Gwen), and stands strong aganist bulling. Chrissa is also into swimming, which is funny because I was at a swim meet on Friday and it reminded me so much of Chrissa's movie.
Now I thank the following websites for the information and pictures:
Thanks,
       Emma
PS. Happy Presidents Day!

We're Back!

Sorry, we weren't posting the last couple of days, but now we're back to post! Thank you so much Rose for posting on the guest book! I love your blogs! Next, thank you for voting on the poll, the results were: With two votes, tied for first were Julie and Kit, tied for second with one vote were Samantha, Kirsten, and Felicity, all the others didn't get any votes. Also, today since I haven't posted lately, I will do two Girl of the Years: Nicki Fleming and Mia St. Clair! First, Nicki. Nicki was introduced on January 1st, 2007.
Nicki's collection consists of the following items: Nicki, Thanks to Nicki (Not shown in picture), Nicki doll in meet outfit, Ski wear outfit, Ranch outfit, Tie, Top, & Shorts outfit, Gala outfit, Ski gear, Jackson (horse), Jackson's tack box and accessories, Sprocket (dog) and accessories. As you can see Nicki is a girl who lives in the outdoors, and she loves animals! In Nicki's two books, Nicki learns the importance of responsibility with Sprocket, a service training dog, and dealing with friendship problems. As you know I, Emma, have Nicki, but I only have her two books, her meet, and Gala outfits, though I did want to get Sprocket. And now moving on to Mia St. Clair, who was introduced on January 1st, 2008.
Mia's collection includes: Books: Mia, Bravo, Mia, Mia doll in meet outfit, Silver Skate dress outfit, Practice outfit and skates, Performance outfit, 2-in-1 skate outfit, pajamas, Mia's accessories, hair clips and case, purple skates, bedroom accessories, bedroom furniture, ice rink, and Mia Goes Great-video game (Not shown in picture). Mia's books were about Mia perusing her dreams of becoming a skater even when money is tight. Mia is the first Girl of the Year that has bigger furniture (bedroom and ice rink) and a video game! I really love the layout of her bedroom. What do you think about these Girl of the Years?
Now I give all the credit for this information and pictures to the websites listed Here and Here. No, I will not do posts for the Historical Dolls because first, that would take a looong time, second, they have a lot more stuff, and third, more people know about them. Be sure to vote on the new poll! Thanks!
