Two Special Books

Hannah and I each have a Jess book (Girl of the Year 2006). Here is whats special about them: Mary Casanova (the author) was a visiting author at our school a couple years ago, before Chrissa was out. As a visiting author comes to your school you can buy books that they have written and they will sign them for you. So here is what our books look like:

The front of the book. (Sorry it's sideways, does anyone know how to turn it?)

The front page which say: To Hannah, an amazing American Girl!
Mary Casanova 4.17.08
To Emma, an awesome American Girl!
Mary Casanova 4.17.08

If you go to Mary Casanova's website, you'll see that she has also written the Chrissa books and an older American Girl book, Cécile: Gates of Gold, which was when American Girl was still with the Pleasant Company.
So those are our special books, does anyone else have special American Girl books?

Behind the Scenes

I told you that I would be posting on some topics and this is another one that I didn't name. So here you will get an inside look on the studio where we take our pictures-my room.
Here is Hannah getting the dolls ready and our back drop- the reversed side of my comforter.
This is our flash, yes there is flash on the camera, but if we want more light in a certain spot.
This is Hannah, doing Julia's hair.
Lastly, this is our blooper, Hannah was walking across the "set" while I was taking the picture. :)

That's all we have for today, sorry we haven't been on lately.

All about Kirsten!

Hi everyone! My name is Kirsten Larson! I came here from Sweden, and then Hannah got me for Christmas a while ago. It was so fun to come to this new family where I had lots of sisters.

I like to go shopping with Emie sometimes, but her fashion sense can be a little crazy at times! I like to wear dresses and aprons so I don't get dirty when I cook. I love cooking! I also like to play sports a little with Julia and Jellyon, but they are a lot better than me. It's ok though! I'm the one that usually takes Coconut on walks as well. I really wish we had some kittens like I did in Minnesota, but I love Coconut too!

I hope you learned some more about me and be watching for some more posts like this on Nicki, Jellyon, and Julia!

The picture is of me in my baking outfit which I love the little Danish shoes!

5 Countries!

I was just looking at the stats of who has visited the blog and there have been people from over 5 different countries! (United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, and Germany) Now I know some of the people were just going from one blog to the next, but it is still exciting to me. Now if only people in Africa and South America look at our blog, then the blog will have been looked at from all the continents, except Antarctica. Anyway, remember to vote on the poll and if your favorite thing to do in winter isn't up there, tell us in the comments! We'd love to here what you like to do.
                                            -Emma :)
P.S. Kirsten will try to remember to post about herself tomorrow!

A Look in the Closet

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted recently, by the way Kirsten won the vote so she will be starring in an upcoming post. Now here is one of the posts I told you was coming up: A Look in the Closet

Now if you have American Girl Dolls I don't know where you keep yours, but here is a look at where Hannah and I keep ours, the closet! Now I don't have a jumbo walk-in closet, but it is long and I don't use the floor space so here is how we have arranged the dolls, clothing, and furniture.
If you can see, there are two beds in the far right side. These beds were not made by American Girl, they were made by our Grandparents for Christmas a few years ago. They can fit two dolls on one bed at a time.
This is where we have put the two tables, in the middle.
As you can see we keep the books, that AG used to give out with their outfits, under the table, which is a great storage space.
This lastly is the messy storage area. The two storage bins that are stacked up are divided into: American Girl clothes, Non-American Girl clothes, and shoes. It is a great way to keep all your clothes in a small space.

Now that you have seen how we set up our doll area, tell us how you keep yours!

Jellyon and Julia's Surprise Birthday Party- A Photo Story

Emie, Kirsten, and Nicki set up for a surprise birthday party for Jellyon and Julia, while the twins were taking a nap after a competition they had just competed in.

Just as the girls had finished up decorating, Jellyon and Julia walked into the room.

With Nicki on the table, they yelled, "Surprise!"

When everyone had gotten seated, Jellyon pointed to a box in the corner of the room.

"I heard a sound from that box." she said.
"That's your present," said Emie with a smile on her face, "go ahead and open it."

When Julia opened the box, she saw a cute little puppy inside. It was Coconut! Jellyon and Julia had always wanted a puppy from a very young age, and now they had gotten one!

As Julia carried Coconut over to the table and set her in Jellyon's lap, she jumped onto the table.

"I think Coconut wants some cake like me!" said Kirsten, who loved sweets.

To this comment, Coconut gave a little bark and the girls just giggled.
As soon as the cake had been eaten and the decorations put away, everyone posed for the newest family photo.

Thanks for reading! I hoped you enjoyed the first photo story!

All You Would Ever Want to Know About Emie!

Hi! This is Emie. I was adopted by Emma a few Christmases ago. I was wearing the blue skirt, blue boots, with the blue, purple, and pink top! My best friend is technically Kirsten, though I adore Coconut! I am the oldest out of Kirsten, Nikki, Jellyon, and Julia (and Coconut).
As for sports I do dance and cheerleading. In cheer leading, I love to be the top girl and do tons of flips! I also do singing and acting, the theater just calls my name!
Lastly, I love to shop! I am also the fashionista of the household, I love to be on top of all the latest styles!
                            Thanks,
                                    Emie :)
P.S. Comment below to tell who you want the next post, about dolls, to be. Thanks!

New Doll of the Year 2012 - McKenna Brooks!

The new doll of the year is finally here! McKenna is an excellent gymnast who is being tutored by Josie who is handicapped. She is pressured by some peers at her gymnastic practice on why she is leaving early, the true answer being to be tutored, McKenna lies to avoid being embarrassed. What will happen if someone finds out?
That was just a quick, short summary of McKenna's book, down below is some of her collection that American Girl has produced.
McKenna's outfit that she comes in and her first book.
I really like the outfit that she wears, it's very cute.
McKenna's pajamas
Mckenna's pajamas really relate to the pajamas girls wear now days.
McKenna's Fancy Outfit
This outfit I love, the colors, the style, and it looks amazing on McKenna!

So that is most of Mckenna's collection. I really like all of her outfits and that AG put them out all at once, my favorite outfit would be McKenna's school one, which you can see at the sight below. Thanks!
